Ivy was in deep sleep when the camera's flash went off.
My kiddos were playing around with some new dance steps. My daughter is okay in the fashion department for this day....but my son, is the lucky boy that gets to showcase his creative genese with GREENS! It wasn't even St. Patrick's Day and this is the choice of outfit, lots of green all different shades, and then he paired the outfit with his fancy green froggy rubber boots - which we know all children love - but for today they were his new dancing shoes!
Here is my guy as what he refers to himself as a Princess Firefighter BOY - kids have great talent for keeping things fresh and exciting!
If this were my older daughter, she would say that this matches because there are flowers on the shirt and flowers on the shorts. AND the red in the shirt matches the red in the shorts. But this is my younger daughter and she's at the age where she could really care less about what matching is. She just liked these two pieces so she threw them together and voilĂ !
Here are some more from about a year ago. My daughter LOVES skirts, but prefers to match them with a shirt that only goes with part of the color scheme, or that is part of the same color family, but doesn't pass the matching test completely! Again, these are all from Gymboree, so perhaps that is part of the thinking - although at her age she doesn't seem concerned with labels (bless her heart!). I love her creative mind that is evident in all her artwork, and definitely in her clothing art as well!
