This is Ivy. She had just taken a bath and was cold. I love that she's wearing light blue capris under a pink skort, and the 3 socks--none of which are the same color.

If You Love It, It Must Match

Here's one of my middle child. She's the one coming up with most of the creative outfits these days. In this case she picked two pieces that she really liked and made them a stunning outfit.

when you're on stage....anything goes!

My kiddos were playing around with some new dance steps. My daughter is okay in the fashion department for this day....but my son, is the lucky boy that gets to showcase his creative genese with GREENS! It wasn't even St. Patrick's Day and this is the choice of outfit, lots of green all different shades, and then he paired the outfit with his fancy green froggy rubber boots - which we know all children love - but for today they were his new dancing shoes!

Here is my guy as what he refers to himself as a Princess Firefighter BOY - kids have great talent for keeping things fresh and exciting!

if the colors are matching...it is so very smashing!

This outfit is a bit my own fault...she had been wearing a plain blue/turquoise t-shirt with the skirt, but it was dirty and I was doing that special batch of wash that it needed to go in right then. She was frustrated that I was asking her to change her outfit as she LOVES this skirt. So, she put this new shirt with it...which obviously the patterns are completely clashing, but at least the colors go together, right?!

Fun Wih Florals

If this were my older daughter, she would say that this matches because there are flowers on the shirt and flowers on the shorts. AND the red in the shirt matches the red in the shorts. But this is my younger daughter and she's at the age where she could really care less about what matching is. She just liked these two pieces so she threw them together and voilà!

If it's all from Gymboree....

I love my daughter - and I can't help but love her outfits as well, because they are part of her! This fun ensemble was worn last year on her birthday. I was going through pictures from the year for a current post on my own blog, and did a double-take when I realized that this outfit has stripes on the top and polka-dots on the bottom! The outfit must work if its' all from Gymboree!

Here are some more from about a year ago. My daughter LOVES skirts, but prefers to match them with a shirt that only goes with part of the color scheme, or that is part of the same color family, but doesn't pass the matching test completely! Again, these are all from Gymboree, so perhaps that is part of the thinking - although at her age she doesn't seem concerned with labels (bless her heart!). I love her creative mind that is evident in all her artwork, and definitely in her clothing art as well!

A Little Outing to the Grocery Store

This picture is from at least a year ago, back when the silly boots were her favorite foot gear. The boots really do tie it all together, you know.
